Hackensack Meridian Health is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its Circle of Compassion program, which provides timely and equitable financial assistance to team members affected by a disaster or emergent, personal monetary hardship. Through the generosity of donors and 100% of Hackensack Meridian Health’s senior leadership team, more than $3 million has been raised, with over $2.3 million being awarded to date to 1,960 team members impacted by COVID-19 and other challenges.

Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation will host a golf outing on Monday, July 12 at Deal Golf & Country Club and Hollywood Golf Club in Deal. Funds raised from the event will support Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s continued growth, including the creation of a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary Neuroscience Institute and the renovation and expansion of the cardiovascular interventional procedure rooms.

Ocean Medical Center Foundation Raises Nearly $200,000 at Golf Outing

On June 14, Hackensack Meridian Ocean Medical Center Foundation raised nearly $200,000 at a golf outing that took place at Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle in support of Hackensack Meridian Ocean Medical Center’s Greatest Need Fund. The annual golf outing was sponsored by George Harms Construction Co. and Brielle Orthopedics.

Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation Raises Nearly $150,000 at Golf Outing

On May 3, Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation raised nearly $150,000 at a golf outing that took place at Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle in support of the Emergency Department expansion project taking place at Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center. Nearly 100 golfers participated in the event, which followed all CDC, state and local safety guidelines.

Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation Receives $24,000 Quality of Life Grant from Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation for Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) Devices

Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation is proud to announce that it has been awarded $24,000 as part of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation National Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) 2020 2nd Cycle Direct Effect Quality of Life grants. Fifty-one grants totaling $925,492 were awarded. The Quality of Life Grants Program supports nonprofit organizations that empower individuals living with paralysis. Since the Quality of Life Grants Program’s inception, more than 3,300 grants totaling over $32 million have been awarded. Funding for this new cycle of grants were made possible through a cooperative agreement with the Administration for Community Living (ACL grant #90PRRC0002-03-00).

Hackensack Meridian – Meridian Health Foundation received a grant for $25,000 from the TD Charitable Foundation to support the Reducing Barriers to Mammograms at the Shore program, which provides free mammograms, diagnostic screenings and procedures to women in Monmouth and Ocean County who are low-income, have no available financial resources, are experiencing financial hardship, or are uninsured or underinsured.

Spirit Halloween Again Selects K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital as Recipient of Spirit of Children Annual Fundraiser

For the fifth consecutive year, Spirit Halloween has selected the Child Life program at Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, located at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center, as a recipient of its annual Spirit of Children fundraising initiative. Ocean Medical Center Team Members Awarded Forfar Nursing Scholarships

The Barbara Forfar Nursing Scholarship committee presented its 2020 scholarships on September 29 at Hackensack Meridian Ocean Medical Center to deserving recipients, Shoshana Diamond of Jackson Township and Emily Trione of Brick Township. To safeguard supporters, Hackensack Meridian Bayshore Medical Center Foundation has moved its annual October fundraising event to a virtual format to be held on Friday, October 29 at 7 p.m. In lieu of the planned, in-person Oktoberfest celebration, the foundation will host a program that donors can stream live to continue to raise necessary funds for Hackensack Meridian Bayshore Medical Center that will address the growing health needs of the community. The Grunin Foundation Makes $3 Million Gift to Advance PCT Programs at Hackensack Meridian Health

The Hackensack Meridian Health Meridian Health Foundation secured a $3 million gift from the Grunin Foundation to create patient care technician (PCT) preceptorship and apprenticeship programs that will provide a career ladder for team members looking to move into long-term, higher paying clinical positions such as nursing, while offering growth opportunities for team members who want to build a lifelong career as a PCT, including mentorship and leadership responsibilities. The programs will also provide employment opportunities for local community members with limited education who want to begin a career in health care.

For the fourth consecutive year, Spirit Halloween has provided a significant grant to Hackensack Meridian Health K. HACKENSACK, NJ – January 29, 2019 – Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation is pleased to announce that Judy Aschner, M.D., chair of pediatrics and physician-in-chief of the Hackensack Meridian Health Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital and clinical director, Children’s Care Transformation Services at Hackensack Meridian Health has been awarded significant grant funding to pilot HealthySteps, a program of ZERO TO THREE. With the support of collaborating funders, The Burke Foundation, The Nicholson Foundation and the Turrell Fund, the pilot will be implemented in three of the network’s pediatric primary care practices. The total amount to be funded to Hackensack Meridian Health by the three foundations is $838,489, while the total projected budget will be nearly $1.2 million, including in-kind giving and other funding provided by the collaborating funders to the HealthySteps national office at ZERO TO THREE.
