JULIE O’SULLIVAN MAILLET, AUTHORITY ON CLINICAL NUTRITION EDUCATION AND PRACTICE, RECEIVES ACADEMY OF NUTRITION AND DIETETICS’ HIGHEST HONOR

Julie O’Sullivan Maillet, a nationally recognized leader in clinical nutrition education and practice,
has been named the 2022 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest honor given by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals.

At the end of the 18th “European Bridge Conference” in Edinburgh in June, the former Director of Empa in Dübendorf, Urs Meier, was honored with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his research and developments in the field of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) in the construction industry at a festive event in the historic Town Hall. The award was presented by Lord Provost Robert Aldridge.

FAU Marine Science Trailblazer Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Shirley Pomponi, Ph.D., an ocean explorer, aquanaut and marine biotechnologist, will receive the Society for In Vitro Biology’s (SIVB) highest award – the 2022 “Lifetime Achievement Award.” She has made pioneering, scientific advances and contributions to marine invertebrate biotechnology, biological oceanography and national marine policy.

Dr. Beth Karlan receives lifetime achievement award for contributions to gynecologic oncology

Internationally renowned physician-scientist Dr. Beth Karlan, director of cancer population genetics at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, is being honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) for her contributions to gynecologic cancer research and clinical practice.
