ECS Announces Search for New ECS Journal Editor-in-Chief

Pennington, NJ – The Electrochemical Society (ECS) seeks nominations for the founding Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of ECS Sensors Plus, a new journal being launched in 2021. The EIC, together with the Editorial Board, ensures the smooth operation and success of the Journal. Nomination submissions are accepted as of May 18, 2021, via the EIC Sensors Plus Nominations Form (available as of May 18) and must be received by June 17, 2021.

Rockefeller University Press (RUP) signs Jisc transitional open access agreement for UK higher education

Nonprofit publisher Rockefeller University Press (RUP), a department of The Rockefeller University in New York City, has agreed to a deal with Jisc that negotiates open access (OA) agreements with publishers on behalf of all UK universities. RUP is the first US–based university press to sign a transitional agreement with research and education not-for-profit Jisc. The unlimited “read-and-publish” transitional agreement covers RUP’s three hybrid journals, Journal of Cell Biology (JCB), Journal of Experimental Medicine (JEM) and Journal of General Physiology (JGP).

MRS Bulletin is pleased to announce the appointment of Markus J. Buehler, McAfee Professor of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as editor of the new MRS Bulletin Impact section. In this new position, Buehler will partner with MRS Bulletin Editor Gopal R.
