New Chief Nursing Officers Named for UH Beachwood, Lake West and TriPoint Medical Centers
University Hospitals (UH) Beachwood, Lake West and TriPoint medical centers have named new Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs). Danielle Sindelar, MSN, RN, CMSRN, was named CNO of UH Beachwood and TriPoint medical centers and began her new position March 26, 2023. Anthony Stachnik, BSN, RN, CCRN, was named CNO of UH Lake West and began his new position on March 12, 2023.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Computer Science and Physics Departments Appoint New Leaders
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s School of Science has appointed two new department heads. Mohammed Zaki now leads the Department of Computer Science and Gyorgy Korniss leads the Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy. The departments are ranked third and fourth in the state of New York, respectively, and 24th nationally by College Factual.
Thomas Jackiewicz Appointed President of University of Chicago Medical Center, COO of UChicago Medicine health system
Thomas E. Jackiewicz, a leader with extensive experience in top academic health systems and medical schools, has been appointed the new president of the University of Chicago Medical Center and chief operating officer of the UChicago Medicine health system, succeeding Sharon O’Keefe, who earlier announced her plans to retire in July 2020.

New department head named to lead industrial engineering
Steven Landry, professor of industrial engineering and associate department head of the School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University, has been named department head of the Penn State Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME). He will begin on July 1, 2020.
