A national authority in hematology will soon lead Hematology and Hematological Malignancies at Huntsman Cancer Institute and University of Utah Health. Dr. Ramiro Garzon’s focus is patients with leukemia and researching the molecular mechanisms of these cancers. Garzon’s major focuses include developing new treatment for cancers that begin in blood forming tissue such as the bone marrow or in the cells of the immune system.
