A new article category introduced last month, ToxPoint, sees its second installment in the March 2020 issue of ToxSci. ToxPoint articles are designed to catalyze discussions around a cutting-edge toxicological topic. The March feature is entitled, “Dissecting Functional RNA Modifications in Responses to Environmental Exposure—Mechanistic Toxicology Research Enters a New Era.”
In addition, the four Tox Spotlight articles in the March 2020 issue represent the diversity within the toxicology field, featuring research on biomarkers, environmental toxicology, and neurotoxicology:
- “Urinary TCP1-eta: A Cortical Damage Marker for the Pathophysiological Diagnosis and Prognosis of Acute Kidney Injury”
- “Hepatic Injury Caused by the Environmental Toxicant Vinyl Chloride Is Sex-Dependent in Mice”
- “A Novel, Modified Human Butyrylcholinesterase Catalytically Degrades the Chemical Warfare Nerve Agent, Sarin”
- “Nerve Growth Factor Protects against Pyrethroid-Induced Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) Stress in Primary Hippocampal Neurons”
Also published in Volume 174, Issue 1, are manuscripts on computational toxicology and databases; emerging technologies, methods, and models; and molecular, biochemical, and systems toxicology.
The mission of Toxicological Sciences is to publish a broad spectrum of impactful research in the field of toxicology. ToxSci: Your science. Your journal.
