Master of Business Creation startup founders for 2021-22

The Department of Entrepreneurship & Strategy at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business welcomed the third class of founders in the Master of Business Creation (MBC) program this fall semester for the 2021-22 academic year. The program is offered with support from the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute. The group consists of 23 founders who have launched 18 companies with products and services ranging from choke-prevention devices and delivery logistics to party planning and luxury pajamas. All have already made progress in starting their companies and are looking to grow sales and attract investors, among other goals.

U. of Utah ranked No. 8 for undergrad entrepreneurship (No. 5 among public schools) for 2022 by U.S. News

The University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business continues to be recognized as a top-10 program for entrepreneurship. In new rankings from U.S. News & World Report, its undergraduate program for entrepreneurship ranked No. 8 overall and No. 5 among public schools for 2022.

First students complete Lassonde+X program

A group of 45 students were the first to compete the new Lassonde+X program during the 2020-21 academic year. Lassonde+X is a three-course program that allows any undergraduate student at the University of Utah to “entrepreneur your major” – the “X” is their major. The program is offered by the Department of Entrepreneurship & Strategy, in partnership with the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, at the David Eccles School of Business.

U. of Utah ranked No. 10 for undergrad, No. 17 for grad entrepreneurship by U.S. News

The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah continues to receive top 10 rankings for its entrepreneurship program, which consists of the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute and the Department of Entrepreneurship & Strategy.
The latest ranking is from U.S. News and World Report, which listed the school’s undergraduate program No. 10 (or No. 6 among state schools) and graduate program No. 17 for 2020.

U. of Utah ranked among best schools for entrepreneurship by Princeton Review

The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah continues to be ranked among the best schools in the country to study entrepreneurship by the Princeton Review. In the latest listing issued this month, Princeton Review ranked the Eccles School No. 12 for undergraduate and No. 18 for graduate entrepreneurship for 2020.
