Rutgers Expert Available to Discuss Supreme Court Ruling Limiting Birth Control Coverage Under Obamacare

Professor Lena Merjanian, a reproductive health expert and gynecologist at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, is available to comment on the Supreme Court ruling that allows employers with religious or moral objections to deny women birth control coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

“Women should have the option of birth control coverage regardless of their employees’ beliefs,” said Merjanian. “In the setting of the current pandemic and concerns over systemic racism, the Supreme Court’s ruling adds another level of stress to many women who may need this vital health coverage.”

To interview Merjanian, contact Modesta (Maud) Alobawone at [email protected] or (848) 445-1913.
