Predictive Toxicology for Healthy Children

New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) can quickly and efficiently collect a large amount of information about the potential toxicity of chemicals without the use of intact animals, but there are challenges to using them to evaluate developmental toxicity compared with adult toxicity. Models that cover multiple levels of biological organization and take into account the unique temporal dynamics and toxicokinetic parameters of embryonic development are essential to support NAM implementation for developmental and reproductive toxicology.
