About the Editor:

Dr. Marcus Vinícius Nora de Souza has graduated in chemistry from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, MG Brazil. He has received his master’s degree in chemistry from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), MG Brazil and a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the Universite de Paris XI (Paris-Sud), France, with an internship at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Marcus has also completed three post-doctorates in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry from the University of Florida, USA, Federal University of Juiz de Fora, MG Brazil, and Multinational Pharmaceutical Industry Genzyme, Boston, USA. He was also a visiting professor at the National Health Institute (NIH), Washington, USA. Dr. Marcus is currently working at Fiocruz (Oswaldo Cruz Foundation), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as a leader of the research group SSCDT (Synthesis of Substances against Tropical Diseases).
