Forty-four films from around the globe will hit the silver screen at Rutgers University-New Brunswick during the Spring 2025 New Jersey Film Festival, which runs on select dates starting Friday, Jan. 24, through Friday, Feb. 21. “We have a really excellent line-up of films,” said Al Nigrin, who is the executive director, curator and founder of the Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, which presents this event and other film festivals.

Rutgers Jewish Film Festival Announces Lineup for 25th Year, Nov. 7–2
Twelve films will be screened at the Regal Cinema Commerce Center, North Brunswick (November 7–17), and five films will be available virtually (November 15–21). In-theater and virtual tickets are $15; Discount passes are available. Sponsored by Rutgers’ Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life, the festival is made possible by a grant from the Karma Foundation.
Dim the House Lights: The 28th New Jersey International Film Festival Hits Screens Starting Friday
Forty films from around the world will be screened at Rutgers during the 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival, which marks its 28th anniversary. The festival – sponsored by the Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center and the interdisciplinary cinema studies program at the School of Arts and Sciences – will be held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between Friday, June 2, and Sunday, June 11.

RUTGERS JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL GOES VIRTUAL, NOVEMBER 8–22
The 21st annual Rutgers Jewish Film Festival features a curated slate of award-winning dramatic and documentary films from Israel, the United States, and Germany that explore and illuminate Jewish history, culture, and identity. This year’s festival vill be virtual. Many films will also include a Q&A component with filmmakers, scholars, and special guests on the Zoom platform.
