Rutgers Expert Available to Discuss Impeachment Public Hearings

New Brunswick, N.J. (November 18, 2019) – David Greenberg, a Rutgers–New Brunswick professor of history and of journalism and media studies, is available to discuss the House impeachment inquiry as it begins its second week of public hearings with the Intelligence Committee.

“I think this week we can expect to see the steady accretion of testimony supporting what last week’s witnesses told us: that Trump did indeed try to pressure Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s son, and this is highly irregular or illegal,” said Greenberg. “The witness testimonies will be significant, but in some ways, what’s most important is the accumulation of evidence. With each testimony, Trump’s denials become harder to believe.”

Greenberg specializes in American political and cultural history, and is a contributing editor and columnist at Politico Magazine.
