Background: On February 22-26, Columbia will host a virtual global health symposium on COVID-19 vaccine development, strategy, and implementation, with addressing global vaccine inequity as a main theme. The symposium was years in the making — global health experts at Columbia began laying the groundwork as early as 2016. The virtual meeting is one of the first big events bringing together public health leaders from the U.S. and around the world since the U.S. rejoined the World Health Organization. https://www.cuimc.columbia.edu/news/columbias-covid-19-vaccine-symposium-was-years-making
