Considerations about current evolution of SARS-nCOV-2 epidemic in Italy

In Italy, a COVID-19 epidemic is raging. Well before today, prof. Enrico Bucci (SHR), prof. Enzo Marinari (Rome University, Physics Dept.) and prof. Giorgio Parisi (Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, President) alerted the government and the population thanks to a very simple analysis of the available data. This analysis, which might be useful also to forecast the next epidemic trends in the U.S., is briefly recapitulated in the following document.
