In a Lancet Neurology review, UC San Diego Health neurologist Jennifer Graves, MD, and colleagues explore the inextricable association between aging and multiple sclerosis — a chronic disease of the brain and spinal cord that changes in nature and severity as patients grow older. They suggest that new therapies that target senescent cells and aging processes may offer promising strategies for preventing MS or repairing its damage.
