On Thursday, July 23, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy Dan Brouillette will join government, academic, and science leaders at the University of Chicago to unveil a report outlining a blueprint for the construction of a national quantum internet, bringing the U.S. to the forefront of the global quantum race and ushering in a new era of communications.
The event will be livestreamed at 1:00 pm CDT here for all interested media. It will be followed by a virtual Q&A via Zoom with scientists, during which reporters will be able to ask questions. Participating media should sign in into Zoom via their favorite browser to listen and ask questions (telephones will not allow for questions to be asked) at 2:30 pm CDT with this link (please begin signing in at 2:15 pm CDT) To enhance safety due to COVID-19, a pool camera and reporter will provide for all interested outlets.
