More Than 1,660 People Attend the AANEM 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting

A record-breaking 1,666 people attended the 67th American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) Annual Meeting, which took place from October 7-10, 2020. For the first time, the AANEM Annual Meeting was held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees were able to learn from leaders in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine, all from the comfort, safety, and convenience of their home or office.

Attendees representing 58 countries from around the world, and almost every US state and territory, logged on to the virtual meeting platform to attend dozens of sessions, industry forums, the exhibit hall, and the poster hall. There were also virtual networking events and a networking directory where attendees could connect with their peers and colleagues in private chat rooms.

As part of the registration fee, meeting attendees have access to recordings of all of the sessions until November 8, 2020. For those who missed the meeting or want access to the material for a longer period of time, the Annual Meeting Collection is available to purchase for $250 on aanem.org. That will give you access to the content for 3 years.

The next AANEM Annual Meeting is scheduled to be held in Aurora, Colorado from October 13-16, 2021. The current plan is to hold the meeting in person, but the AANEM continues to monitor the rapidly changing COVID-19 pandemic and will adjust the meeting plans accordingly.
