Dr. Edelstein joined Loyola in 1997 as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Since then, he has held a number of positions in the anesthesia department and served on numerous medical center committees aimed at quality and performance improvement and advancing the practice of anesthesia. He is a four-time recipient of the Loyola University Chicago Department of anesthesia “Teacher of the Year” award and two-time recipient of the “Stephen Slogoff Best Teacher Award.”
Dr. Edelstein has authored dozens of abstracts, research articles and book chapters on anesthesia medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed residencies at University of Pittsburgh Montefiore Hospital and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
