Epstein is a founding member of Epstein & Cohen, L.L.C. (Little Silver). He serves on several Hackensack Meridian Health committees and has supported the network in a variety of capacities for more than 20 years, previously serving as a long-time member of the Meridian Health board finance committee and the compliance and audit committee. He received a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University, New York and a J.D. from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta. He is a graduate of the Private Wealth Management program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Pall is the chair of pediatrics at Hackensack Meridian K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in pediatric gastroenterology. Prior to joining K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, Dr. Pall served as professor and interim chair of pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine and pediatrician-in-chief at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Pall received his medical degree from McGill University and completed his pediatric residency at Memorial University in Canada. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Keary is past president of the James F. Ackerman Federation at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Under her leadership, the federation made its largest pledge commitment in its history, $300,000, to support pediatric cancer treatment and research at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital. Prior to relocating to Monmouth County, she served as president of the auxiliary of Hackensack Meridian Hackensack University Medical Center, where during her tenure, the auxiliary raised significant funding for the Pediatric Emergency Room in the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, the purchase of a jitney bus and paramedic vehicle and the installation of a TV surveillance system, among other projects.
Grunin built a lengthy career in the private sector and is a current partner of Grunin Holdings, LLC. Since 2013, he has been actively engaged in the community as president of the Grunin Foundation. He has hosted several talk radio shows on both AM and FM radio, including Topic A on WOBM. He serves on a variety of boards and advisory committees, including Fulfill, Count Basie Center for the Arts, Arts Ed NJ and the Grunin Center for Law and Social Entrepreneurship at NYU. He is the immediate past chairman of the United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and is an executive board member and former chair of the Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce.
Loshiavo is managing partner of investment management firms, Cobblefield LLC and Windswept Holdings. He has a combined 37 years in the financial industry, including 15 years in investment management and 22 years in investment banking. Loshiavo has been a long-time supporter of Meridian Health Foundation, K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital and Riverview Medical Center, along with other charitable organizations, including Hackensack Meridian Health’s Women’s Heart Fund. Loshiavo is a COVID-19 survivor who has shared his story about the care he received at Hackensack Meridian Health at several recent virtual events.
Taylor is the partner-in-charge of industrial sales and leasing for Matrix Development Group. Since joining Matrix in 1986, Taylor has grown from the position of property manager in charge of the day-to-day management of all of Matrix’s properties, to project executive, then to vice president of the firm. In 1993, he became a partner of Matrix. Throughout his career, he has successfully prosecuted build-to-suit and speculative leasing and construction programs for more than 35 million square feet of transactions, becoming a recognized leader in the northeast real estate industry. He received a B.A. and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Tolchin began his career on the floor of the NYSE running to place broker’s orders and became a clerk at Spear Leeds and Kellogg, where he would eventually rise to the position of managing director. He worked for Goldman Sachs after its acquisition of SLK in 2000 and then formed MTS, his own investment business, in 2002. He is a thoroughbred horse breeder and previous owner of The Mill restaurant. Tolchin resides in Monmouth Beach.
These new trustees will join an established team working in partnership with Jersey Shore University Medical Center and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital administration to raise funds in support of projects and services. Gifts raised under their leadership will all contribute toward a $150 million fundraising goal as part of Meridian Health Foundation’s Giving Heals campaign. Giving Heals supports four important initiatives: strengthening oncology services, improving clinical outcomes, enhancing the patient experience and broadening clinical research and academic programs at the following Hackensack Meridian Health medical centers in Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties: Bayshore Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, Ocean Medical Center, Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, Riverview Medical Center and Southern Ocean Medical Center.
