From the authors: “Our study, coupled with earlier studies, serve to highlight the fact that there is risk even from nicotine-free e-cigarette use. Even though not all flavors may be as high risk as each other, it should not be assumed that [generally regarded as safe] food flavors are safe for vaporization and inhalation.”
