Topic: Experts from the the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will discuss and take questions on how engineers are helping medical professionals in the fight against COVID-19 and other urgent medical needs. Topics include cryopreservation, fluid mechanics and transfer, Targeted delivery of therapeutics via ultrasound (to infections and tumors), fast-tracking clinical trials through modeling and simulation (this was done with the COVID vaccine), and nanobot tech.
