ToxSci’s recently launched article category, ToxPoint, offers an opportunity for dialogue among readers on emerging areas of toxicology. Readers may make comments in the forum at the bottom of ToxPoint articles to join the conversation sparked by these editorial manuscripts. The June 2020 issue of ToxSci features a ToxPoint article entitled, “Brain Barrier Systems Play No Small Roles in Toxicant-Induced Brain Disorders.”
In addition, this month’s edition includes a Contemporary Review that explores “Obesity as a Source of Endogenous Compounds Associated with Chronic Disease: A Review.” Contemporary Reviews “provide expert analysis of important and emerging areas in the field of toxicology.” Volume 175, Issue 2, features a Systematic Review as well: “Accounting for Multiple Comparisons in Statistical Analysis of the Extensive Bioassay Data on Glyphosate.”
Two Tox Spotlight articles also are published in this month’s issue of the journal, showcasing excellence in toxicology research in clinical and translational toxicology and genetic and epigenetic toxicology, respectively:
- “Late Protective Effect of Netrin-1 in the Murine Acetaminophen Hepatotoxicity Model”
- “Development and Application of TK6-Derived Cells Expressing Human Cytochrome P450s for Genotoxicity Testing”
In addition to these pieces, Volume 175, Issue 2, of the Society’s official journal includes research in developmental and reproductive toxicology; emerging technologies, methods, and models; immunotoxicology; and more.
The mission of Toxicological Sciences is to publish a broad spectrum of impactful research in the field of toxicology.
