Funds from ASCB’s Public Engagement Grants may be used to pay for materials, supplies, marketing, and salaries for science outreach projects beginning in the summer or fall of 2020 and ending in the spring of 2021 or earlier. Grantees will also be offered travel funds to attend conferences and obtain one-on-one assistance with project evaluation from start to finish. Women and people from under-represented minorities are encouraged to apply. Funding for ASCB’s Public Engagement Grants are provided by the Science Sandbox initiative of the Simons Foundation.

ASCB’s CEO Erika Shugart will discuss examples of program plans, audience selection, goals and impacts, budgets, and more. She will also tell you about all of the added benefits of this program (beyond the funding itself) and will answer questions. The slide deck and recorded webinar will both be available afterward.
