COLUMBUS, Ohio – Amy Fairchild, ethicist, public health historian and dean of The Ohio State University College of Public Health, is available to discuss the ethical considerations and historical precedents of efforts to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
Fairchild, who has written about the response to SARS and other outbreaks, and who served as a consultant on WHO guidelines development during discussions about human rights and Ebola, is interested in the tension between public protection – a collective good – and the individual rights of privacy and liberty.
To schedule an interview with Dean Amy Fairchild, please contact Misti Crane at Ohio State’s College of Public Health: crane.11@osu.edu.
