It is the time of year when many young people would be attending prom, taking part in athletic games, participating in graduation and preparing summer plans. Due to the pandemic, many children are going to miss activities that have become milestones in our culture.
Beth Trammel, an associate professor in psychology at Indiana University and a licensed psychologist, is avaiable to speak about what young people may be feeling during this time, how to speak to your children about missing out on these milestones and ways to still celebrate while staying safe.
Beth can speak to common responses from kids, strategies to help parents communicate about COVID-19 and other mental health crises, how to have hard conversations with kids, grief/loss in kids and how to help parents/teachers communicate.
Beth can be reached at 765-973-8362 or by email: batramme@iue.edu.
