A panel of women leaders of global organizations will explore ways to position women for success in the global economy, in a free, online program presented by the Center for Global Business (CGB) at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. The event, “Women Know Global: Closing the Gender Gap in the Global Economy,” takes place at noon (EST) Thursday, March 25, 2021.
CGB Executive Director Rebecca Bellinger will moderate the panel of women leaders of global organizations noted for driving change, influencing policy, and creating programs to close the gender gap and support women in the workforce.
The panelists will address:
- Programs, resources and incentives currently in place to support women in the global business ecosystem.
- Traditional systems and norms obstructing women from the paid workforce and what is being done in response.
- How equal economic treatment for women benefits everyone, both economically and socially.
