Robert J. Kim-Farley, MD, is a professor with joint appointments in the Departments of Epidemiology and Community Health Sciences at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. From 2004 to 2018, he served as the Director of the Division of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. He previously previously served with the U.S. Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and as a public health advisor for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and he has worked in Asia and Europe.
Anne W. Rimoin, PhD, MPH is a professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and Infectious Disease Division of the David M. Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Rimoin has worked internationally, including in Africa, on emerging infectious diseases since 2002. Her expertise includes infectious disease epidemiology, zoonoses, and global health, including work for the US National Institutes of Health and the UN.
