Lorena Garcia is an associate professor of epidemiology in the UC Davis Department of Public Health Sciences. She is an expert on the importance of contact tracing. She also is a noted researcher in health disparities and social determinants of health, in particular immigrant health in the Latino community. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Brad Pollock is chair of the UC Davis Department of Public Health Sciences and associate dean for public health sciences with the UC Davis School of Medicine. He is an expert on on population health approaches, including contact tracing, for disease prevention and control. He led the UC-wide task force on return-to-campus strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
