Members of the Media,

I am pleased to announce that the 8th Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting will be held from September 11-13, 2020, with a special encore featuring Late-Breaking News and a COVID-19 Session on September 26. Given the worldwide impact of COVID-19 and taking into consideration the health and safety of attendees, including the media, the meeting this year will be held in a virtual format.

We invite media from around the world to join us for this virtual conference (MSVirtual2020), which involves world-class scientists, clinicians and researchers in the multiple sclerosis field who will be sharing the latest research advances, clinical trial data, and cutting-edge technology in multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases.

We want you to know that registered media to MSVirtual2020 will have access to the full program including plenary sessions, platform presentations, and keynote speakers. Poster presentations will be available upon registration and by signing into the virtual meeting.  Press events will be held to provide media with the opportunity to ask questions directly to ACTRIMS/ECTRIMS leaders, key clinicians and study investigators regarding scientific advances, clinical trial outcomes, late-breakers, and emerging trends in the MS field. Our press managers are available to register you, give you conference information and updates, and provide abstract and poster presentations on-demand as the conference program evolves. Press managers will also be pleased to help you arrange interviews with ACTRIMS/ECTRIMS leaders, clinicians, researchers and investigators presenting or participating at this meeting both in advance or during the conference.

Media can register for the MSVirtual2020 free-of-charge by completing the online registration which goes live on June 30th, or by emailing the press manager with your credentials (i.e., signature contact including media outlet, or letterhead, letter from editor or producer). MSVirtual2020 welcomes all media including journalists, producers, bloggers and freelancers. Bloggers will need to provide recent samples of posts. Freelancers can send a note from an Editor requesting them to cover the conference, or by providing recent copies of published articles. For more details on press credentials, please go here.

You may wish to note some key embargo dates. Abstracts and featured research accepted for presentation at MSVirtual2020 are embargoed until they are in the online meeting library. Full text of Late-Breaking Abstracts will be published on September 25 (Note: We will be sharing these abstracts under embargo with the press on September 24th). Please feel free to sign up for conference updates.
