WASHINGTON (Jan. 30, 2025)–In a Senate confirmation hearing yesterday Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was grilled about his views on vaccines, chronic health conditions, infectious diseases, abortion and other issues. Kennedy is President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the US Department of Health and Human Services but he must be confirmed by the Senate and faces some stiff opposition from the Democrats.
Kennedy has gotten pushback from health experts who say he has long been known for his false views on vaccines, a baseless claim that WiFi causes cancer and his flip-flopping stance on abortion.
The George Washington University has experts who can discuss the controversy around JFK Jr. ‘s nomination and the public health issues that have come up in the hearing. To schedule an interview with an expert please contact Kathy Fackelmann, kfackelmann@gwu.edu.
