A Family Affair in Nursing

The poet Pam Brown once said, “When sisters stand shoulder to shoulder, who stands a chance against us?” No truer words may be said of Regina Foley, PhD, MBA, RN, senior vice president, Integration/Transformation at Hackensack Meridian Health and her sister, Marie Foley-Danecker, DNP, RN, CCRN, NE-BC, vice president of nursing, chief nurse executive at Hackensack Meridian Ocean Medical Center.

The daughters of a nurse, Regina and Marie followed in their mother’s footsteps and  committed their lives to the profession of nursing, living up to their last name which means, “that I may be of use.”

The ‘tour de force’ embody Hackensack Meridian Health’s commitment to nursing excellence and over their many years of service, Regina and Marie have excelled within the HMH organization. Most recently,  with Regina leading the vaccination effort for the entire Hackensack Meridian Health network, and Marie being promoted to vice president of nursing/chief nurse executive at Hackensack Meridian Ocean Medical Center.

During National Nursing Week, their extended family at HMH, thank Regina and Marie for their guidance and leadership so that we too could stand with them, shoulder to shoulder, on the frontline against the pandemic.
