Rutgers Historian Available to Discuss Vice Presidential Debate

David Greenberg, a Rutgers–New Brunswick professor of history and of journalism and media studies, is available to discuss the vice presidential debate.

“Senator Kamala Harris showed herself to be a first-class debater, and she did former Vice President Joe Biden a big service in expressing more pithily many of the policy points and criticisms of the administration that he was unable to make last week because of President Donald Trump’s constant interruptions,” said Greenberg. “Vice President Mike Pence profited by not being Trump. It seems unlikely to change the course of the campaign.”

Greenberg is an expert on American political and cultural history, including the presidency, campaigns and elections, political parties, political ideas, public policy. He is also a contributing editor and columnist at Politico.

For interviews, Greenberg can be reached at davidgr@rutgers.edu.
