Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center Appoints Lorie Leslie, M.D., Co-Medical Director of the Cancer Program

MONTCLAIR, New Jersey (October 7, 2020) – Mountainside Medical Center has announced that Lori Leslie, M.D., has been named Co-Medical Director of the hospital’s Cancer Program affiliated with John Theurer Cancer Center.  Dr. Leslie joins the Cancer Program leadership, serving alongside Donna McNamara, M.D., and John Conti, M.D.

Dr. Leslie received her Medical Degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.  Following, she completed a fellowship at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center where she served as chief fellow.  Board certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine, Dr. Leslie specializes in non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. 

In addition to her appointment at Mountainside Medical Center, Dr. Leslie also serves as the Director of the indolent lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia research programs at John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center.  Her research and clinical practice are focused on non-Hodgkin lymphomas, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and adoptive T-cell therapy/chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy.  Her work has been published in many journals including Blood, Cancer, Leukemia & Lymphoma, the American Journal of Hematology, Expert Reviews of Hematology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Haematologica, and the ASCO education manual.  In addition, Dr. Leslie serves as an assistant professor at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
