XXI April International Academic Conference on economic and social development

On April 13, 2020, the sections of the XXI April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development start. The conference is organized by HSE University with the support of the World Bank. This year, the conference is held in a distributed format.

The April Conference is Russia’s biggest international academic forum in economics and the social sciences, where leading Russian and international experts present their research and entrepreneurs and public officials participate in discussions.

Despite the pandemic, the HSE Academic Council did not to cancel the conference. Instead, the conference is being held in a distributed format that allows participants to present their papers remotely. This year, 725 participants from 55 countries were invited to present their research at the conference.

The distributed format means that some of the sessions, roundtable discussions, and associated events will be held online, while other participants will have an opportunity to supplement their previously published abstracts and presentations with extended abstracts and video presentations.
