University’s Studio 47 Releases New Podcast ‘Alone Together: Conversations Amid COVID-19’

Augustana University’s recording studio, Studio 47, has released its newest podcast “Alone Together: Conversations Amid COVID-19,”  intended to capture the lives of those in the AU community and how each of them is uniquely affected by the current pandemic.

“This podcast captures the voices and experiences of our graduating seniors, our student athletes and coaches, and of our faculty, administration and staff who are all navigating uncharted territories, “ said Dr. Peter Folliard, assistant professor of music and producer of the project.

Episodes are hosted by Ann Rosendale, Augustana’s campus pastor and proud graduate of Augustana University, or Joel Gackle, senior director of alumni engagement. Rosendale isn’t new to podcasting as she has also narrated “Calling All Years Good,” a 14-episode podcast that explores vocation throughout the lifespan.

Folliard remarked, “There is something incredible about being able to listen from the perspective of a pastor — the interviewee is so much more open in speaking… it’s very personal.”

Following the launch of  “Alone Together: Conversations Amid COVID-19” on Friday, May 1, new episodes will appear each Monday and Friday. The podcast can be heard on Spotify and other major streaming platforms.
