U.S. Department of Energy to host virtual CyberForce Competition™ November 14

The U.S. Department of Energy will host its CyberForce Competition™ virtually as an individual competition.

The 2020 CyberForce Competition will be hosting over 400 students attending U.S. accredited institutions. Students will compete to harden and defend simulated wind energy infrastructure from cyber-attacks, while maintaining service for their customers (played by volunteers). Competitors will be selected by random lottery.

When:      Saturday, November 14, 2020

                9:30 a.m. CT – Opening remarks

                10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. CT – Competition

Where:  Argonne National Laboratory

                (Virtually) Lemont, IL

Additional DOE National Laboratories that will co-host this event include Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Livermore, CA), National Renewable Energy Laboratory (Golden, CO), Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (Richland, WA), and Sandia National Laboratories (Albuquerque, NM).
