Tourism expert available to discuss impact of COVID-19 on travel

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic causes a growing number of cancellations and closures, many people are reconsidering their future travel plans. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is urging people to forgo cruises to reduce their risk, and the Airports Council International predicts the airline industry could see losses of up to $25 billion this year.

Evan Jordan is available to comment on how the novel coronavirus is impacting tourism and travel, and how people can visit places around the world virtually while social distancing. Jordan is an assistant professor in the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington’s Department of Recreation. He’s also known as The Trip Doctor and runs a podcast and blog on how to travel intelligently.

Jordan can be reached at 269-830-8302 or [email protected]
