The key to the new decade, and a new you

A search using medical data bases reveals that hundreds of meta-analysis papers conducted with tens of millions of people worldwide have confirmed clinically the efficacies of thirty antioxidant-rich foods to prevent or treat chronic diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cognitive impairment, chronic kidney disease, cancer, and more.

Today’s medicine has achieved much success in treating acute conditions, such as asthma attack, broken bone, and infections, but it has limited success in the field of Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, diabetes, or cancer, among others. The root causes of most chronic diseases are still unknown. It is well known in the medical communities that at least 50% of all chronic diseases are preventable by dietary changes. Professor Monte Lai, Ph.D., a researcher in the field of free radicals in biology and medicine, has published his latest book with World Scientific, entitled

About the Author

Monte Lai, Ph.D.

is formerly a professor of biophysics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his training in electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy in the laboratories of the late Prof. Lawrence H. Piette at the University of Hawaii. In 1977, using ESR spectroscopy, Dr. Lai demonstrated for the first time in the history of science the existence of hydroxyl radical in biological systems. Hydroxyl radical is the most reactive free radical known to humankind. Since then, tens of thousands of scientific papers have been published on hydroxyl radical linking it to the cause of oxidative damage and a host of chronic diseases and conditions, such as inflammation, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and aging. Dr. has published more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 28 US patents. Most recently, Dr. Lai was CEO of the pharmaceutical Medinox, Inc. in San Diego, California. He has been at the forefront of pros and cons of therapeutic drugs in treating diseases and conditions for the past two decades. Dr. Lai is also the author of The Vitamin Cure published by Humanix Books 2018.
