Who/What:
Speakers from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), Informed Sustainability Consulting, and Meatless Monday will explore how plant-based menu items can assist food service dining operations during these challenging times.
Amanda Trenchard, senior program coordinator, the HSUS, will serve as webinar facilitator.
Karla Dumas, RD, Director, Food & Nutrition, the HSUS, will discuss the public health concerns related to producing and serving animal products. And with more foodservice providers focusing on takeaway food, Karla will offer a variety of plant-based grab-and-go menu ideas.
Isaac Emery, founder of Informed Sustainability Consulting, and an advisor for the HSUS, will address the sustainability concerns of producing and serving animal products and how plant-based foods can be the solution.
Ron Hernandez, managing director for The Monday Campaigns, the initiative behind Meatless Monday, will provide marketing concepts and strategies to help ensure the success of serving more plant-based menu items.
