The fifth volume of Frontiers in Natural Product Chemistry is now published

The fifth volume of the series brings seven reviews contributed by experts focusing on natural enzyme inhibitors, polyphenols and taxol developments. Specifically the chapters includes are: inhibition of monoamine oxidase (MAO) via green tea extracts, sesquiterpene lactone cynaropicrin as novel inhibitor of Bcr-Abl fusion oncogene expression, effects of dietary polyphenols on chronic diseases, an overview of past and present developments towards biotechnological and molecular approaches to improve taxol production, cytotoxicity through molecular targets involved in apoptosis, and finally health related enzyme inhibiting natural products from medicinal plants. The therapies in this volume demonstrate possible ways to manage diabetes, hypertension, and Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers looking for novel plant-based therapies and molecules will benefit from the information provided in the reviews.
