UrduThe University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced a major new student success initiative that offers half-off course tuition and fees for freshmen who enroll at UA Little Rock for the fall 2022 semester. In this first-of-its-kind initiative, first-time freshmen as well as freshmen with 11 or fewer transfer credit hours will receive up to 50 percent off tuition and fees for not only their freshmen year for the 2022-23 academic year but their 2023-24 sophomore year as well.

UA Little Rock Partners with Forge Institute to Grow Skilled Cybersecurity Workforce
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the Forge Institute have partnered to strengthen the cybersecurity workforce development in Arkansas by providing academic credit for those who complete professional development courses in cybersecurity at the Forge Institute. Under the terms of the recently signed collaboration agreement, UA Little Rock will award successful graduates of the Forge Institute’s IT/Cybersecurity Fundamentals certificate academic credit towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science or cybersecurity at UA Little Rock.
Wilkerson fulfills dream of earning college degree 55 years after graduating high school
At 73, Carolyn Wilkerson has completed her lifelong dream of earning a bachelor’s degree. Wilkerson joined UA Little Rock in 2016, fulfilling a promise she made to herself many years ago. Having graduated from Little Rock’s Horace Mann High School in 1965, Wilkerson is the third of her high school classmates who have graduated from UA Little Rock in recent years.
UA Little Rock joins coalition to launch health care cybersecurity curriculum and pilot focused on veterans and first responders
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is part of a coalition of universities and industry partners that are developing a curriculum to increase cybersecurity talent focused on health care with $6.3 million in funding from the National Security Agency. UA Little Rock will work with the University of Louisville, the University of North Florida, Bluegrass Technical and Owensboro Technical, the Forge Institute, and a coalition of industry partners to develop a training curriculum focused on health care cybersecurity.

UA Little to develop free cybersecurity curriculum for high school students through new partnership with Arkansas Department of Education
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will help create a free cybersecurity curriculum for Arkansas high school students as part of a new partnership announced Dec. 9 at UA Little Rock’s College of Engineering and Information Technology. The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Office of Computer Science will partner with UA Little Rock, the Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative’s Virtual Arkansas division, and the University of Central Arkansas to develop a three-year cybersecurity curriculum and course pathway.
