U.S. Small Business Administration Awards ASBTDC $2.5 Million Grant for Community Navigator Pilot Program

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received a $2.5 million grant to engage in targeted outreach to small businesses in underserved communities. The U.S. Small Business Administration awarded the competitive funding under the Community Navigator Pilot Program administered by the SBA’s Office of Entrepreneurship Education.

UA Little Rock, ASBTDC Introduce Online Training to Keep Small Businesses Cyber Safe

New “Cyber Safe” training from the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center equips businesses to recognize and thwart cyber threats. ASBTDC collaborated with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Cyber Arena to create the Cyber Safe: Cybersecurity for Small Business online training course. The free, on-demand course is broken into short modules covering cybersecurity basics, such as access control, passwords, physical security, and network protection.

DOE Awards $54 Million to 235 American Small Businesses Developing Novel Clean Energy And Climate Solutions

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today announced 235 small businesses, across 42 states, will receive $54 million in critical seed funding for 266 projects that are developing and deploying proof-of-concept prototypes for a wide range of technological solutions needed to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
