UA Little Rock Offers Half-Off Scholarships for Two Years

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced a major new student success initiative that offers half-off course tuition and fees for freshmen who enroll at UA Little Rock for the fall 2022 semester. In this first-of-its-kind initiative, first-time freshmen as well as freshmen with 11 or fewer transfer credit hours will receive up to 50 percent off tuition and fees for not only their freshmen year for the 2022-23 academic year but their 2023-24 sophomore year as well.

Windgate Foundation Awards UA Little Rock More Than $3 Million in Grants for Art Outreach, Art Acquisition, and Children International Education and Outreach Efforts

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received more than $3 million in grants from the Windgate Foundation to support art education at the university, acquisition of art from working artists for UA Little Rock’s permanent art collection, and support of UA Little Rock Children International’s education and outreach programs.

Jerry and Sherri Damerow, longtime supporters of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in Arkansas, have made a planned gift of $1 million to support scholarships for science majors at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The gift will benefit the Jerry and Sherri Damerow Endowed Science Scholarship, which provides scholarships for students majoring in astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and Earth Science.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received the largest single gift in the institution’s 93-year history, announced during the May 21 meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas. The $25 million gift from an anonymous donor will support the university’s strategic enrollment management plan and help UA Little Rock students achieve a world-class education.
