MedStar Washington Hospital Center has been named among the nation’s top heart hospitals by U.S. News and World Report. Its Cardiology and Heart Surgery program climbed to #30, up seven from last year’s “Best Hospitals” rankings. It is the only nationally recognized heart program of its kind in the Washington region.
Northwestern Memorial Hospital retained its position as the No. 1 hospital in Illinois and Chicago and is again recognized among the top hospitals in the country ranking No. 10 on the prestigious “America’s Best Hospitals” Honor Roll by U.S. News & World Report in its 2021-2022 “America’s Best Hospitals” rankings.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is recognized as a national leader in ten specialties, according to the U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” rankings released today. These 10 specialties are recognized as one of the top 50 programs in the nation. It’s Ohio State’s 29th consecutive year with nationally ranked specialties.
Of the more than 3,000 U.S. hospitals evaluated, Rush University Medical Center ranked No. 19 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, with nine of specialties rated among the country’s very best.

DALLAS – July 28, 2020 – UT Southwestern Medical Center is the No. 1 hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth – the nation’s fourth-largest metro area – and ranks among the top 50 hospitals nationally in 10 specialties ranging from brain to heart care, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Hospitals report released today.
