But keynote speaker, Karin Schetelig, a principal at The Boston Consulting Group, yields insights on how to get the most out of diversity to advance new technology and treatments. A panel discussion will follow with representatives from STAAR Surgical, Allergan, LensGen, Inc., and Centricity Vision.
- Rise of The Machines Robotics and brain-machine interfaces are still in their infancy in ophthalmology, but they have the potential to improve outcomes for patients by enabling digitally driven therapies. Ranya Habash, MD, and Gil Kliman, MD, will host a look at the transformational use of robotics and brain-machine interfaces in ophthalmology, featuring a mini-keynote with surgical robotics pioneer Fred Moll, MD, Founder, Intuitive Surgical and Auris Health, and a panel discussion with Dr. Moll, Reza Zadno, PhD, CEO of Procept Biorobotics, Linda Lam, MD, associate professor of Ophthalmology at USC Keck School of Medicine, and Marc deSmet, MD, CMO of Preceyes B.V.
- The 3C’s: Impact on Innovation by COVID, Capital Markets and Consolidation Understand new marketplace forces producing opportunities and challenges. Jim Mazzo, an advisor to Zeiss, will lead a discussion with panelists: Eric D.Donnenfeld, MD; Elizabeth Yeu, MD; Mark S. Humayun, MD, PhD; Gil Kliman, MD, of InterWest Partners; Jeffrey J. Kimbell; Jim Momtazee, of Patient Square Capital; Larry Biegelsen, of Wells Fargo; and Mike Giaquinto, of SVBLeerink.
- Inside the Global Game: An opportunity for entrepreneurs to hear from the leadership teams of Alcon, Johnson & Johnson, Allergan, and Zeiss on what they are looking for in new companies.
