Nurse experts will discuss lessons learned on the frontlines of COVID-19 and fostering resiliency in webinars celebrating Nurses Month from Wolters Kluwer

May 3, 2021 – To honor nurses and their dedication to care, especially as the frontline against the COVID-19 pandemic, Wolters Kluwer is celebrating Nurses Month 2021 this May with webinars featuring nurse experts sharing their insights on the future of healthcare and the transformation of the nursing workforce.

“Lessons Learned: Calming the COVID-19 Storm,” held by Lippincott NursingCenter on May 6, will focus on what’s been learned since the start of the global pandemic about managing patients with COVID-19. Host Lisa Bonsall, Senior Clinical Editor for Lippincott NursingCenter, will be joined by Wolters Kluwer, Health Learning, Research & Practice, Chief Nurse and practicing critical care nurse practitioner, Anne Dabrow Woods, and Lippincott Solutions Editor-in-Chief and infection control & prevention practitioner, Collette Hendler, who will discuss how healthcare systems adapted during the pandemic from improving workforce efficiency and agility and decreasing viral transmission, to caring for patients with the multisystem effects of COVID-19 in the acute stage and those with long-term effects.

On May 19, guest speaker Tim Cunningham, DrPH, MSN, RN, FAAN, will discuss fostering compassion and resiliency through powerful storytelling in the webinar “Nursing Stories Untold: Compassion Unbound” hosted by Lippincott Solutions. Cunningham will provide tips for nurse leaders on empowering and engaging their teams using compelling stories to help them heal and move forward during challenging times. He will also share stories told by patients and nurses living through pandemics and other healthcare crises.
