UrduThis accomplishment follows a selective re-evaluation process, where a limited number of Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) journals were considered for inclusion. To be eligible, journals needed to rank among the top three in their respective categories based on the latest Journal Citation Reports (JCR) data. JMIR Aging’s acceptance into SCIE and SSCI underscores its exceptional quality and impact, demonstrated by its outstanding performance across 24 quality and 4 impact measures. Notably, this milestone affirms the journal’s excellence and leadership—with a Journal Impact Factor of 5.0, it was ranked #1 in the “Gerontology’ category in Clarivate’s 2024 Journal Citation Reports. “The inclusion of JMIR Aging in SCIE underscores the growing recognition of the journal’s impact in the field of geriatrics and gerontology,” say Dr Yun Jiang and Dr Jinjiao Wang, co-editors in chief of JMIR Aging. “With this significant achievement, we are more determined than ever to elevate the journal’s reputation and contribute to the global conversation on using technology to address the challenges of caring for an aging population,” they further add.
