#CDC Follow-up to Guide on #EVALI Expected Dec. 20; Guidance for Safe Discharge Planning

Don Hayes, Jr., MD, is the medical director of the Advanced Lung Disease Program and the Lung and Heart-Lung Transplant Programs at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hayes was one of the American Thoracic Society members who collaborated with the CDC on the first clinical guide on vaping lung injury.

This new document will provide clinical guidance for safe discharge planning and ealry follow-up care for e-cigarette, or vaping, product use-associated lung injury patients.
