ATS Scholar is a new home not only for clinician educators but other readers who want to develop teaching skills and learn more about the changing landscape of health professions education. Publications in the journal will be wide-ranging, from the training of the next generation of scientists to interprofessional education and education technology. The journal will also tackle relevant issues related to the culture of medicine, such as wellness and bias.
A new kind of journal, ATS Scholar embraces the digital era of publishing by inviting authors to make submissions with a video component as well as standalone educational videos. The journal will also leverage social media to engage the modern learner.
ATS Scholar has a talented group of associate editors and editorial board members who will lead the peer review process to ensure high-quality publications in the journal. Committed to gender equality and representation of people of color, that group will seek to model the diversity that is integral to the practice of health care.

Nitin Seam, MD, ATSF, is the first editor-in-chief of ATS Scholar. Patricia A Kritek, MD, EdM, is senior deputy editor, and Kristin M Burkart, MD, MSc, is deputy editor.
