The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry are awarded for the discoveries of major importance in life science, medicine or chemistry. Over 35 Nobel Laureates have been members of the ASCB at some time during their scientific career, including at the time they receive the award. Many of our ASCB leadership and members are fellow faculty members or colleagues of Nobel Laurates. Many of our members also conduct research in the areas of research acknowledged by the Nobel Committee.
